Having been born and raised in Apple Valley, I’ve seen our town go through many changes during my fifty years here.  When my family first established their roots in this community, vast fields of alfalfa and open space ruled the landscape of our town.  Over the years, as we witnessed the transformation brought on by local development and economic prosperity of the high-desert region, I realized the power of our mighty Mojave River as the lifeline of the desert and the value of our precious groundwater supply.  However, time has shown us that water is limited, and we need to be mindful of preserving this precious resource to meet the demands of today and the future. 

At Apple Valley Ranchos Water Company, we understand the importance of ensuring safe and reliable water supply for the residents and businesses in our community.  For more than 60 years, we’ve served our customers with the highest level of service and unparalleled integrity.  Today, water agencies statewide face their greatest challenge -balancing reliability with affordability.  With global climate change, historical drought conditions and record cutbacks in supply from Northern California, we are tasked with meeting the demands of our region with limited supplies for our customers.
