APPLE VALLEY, Calif., Sept. 13, 2017 – In recognition of National Preparedness Month, Liberty Utilities Apple Valley is hosting an emergency preparedness fair and open house on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The free event will take place at the Liberty Utilities Apple Valley headquarters, located at 21760 Ottawa Road in Apple Valley.
The Apple Valley Emergency Preparedness Fair and Open House will feature local companies, first responders and public health and safety organizations sharing information to ensure members of the community are prepared for any emergency. Liberty Utilities Apple Valley and participating organizations will also raise awareness regarding the plans that are in place to protect services and the community during an emergency or natural disaster.
“Wildfires, earthquakes and other natural disasters are a real risk in the High Desert, and this event is designed to educate members of the community about the steps they should take to safeguard their families, homes and businesses,” said Tony Penna, Vice President and General Manager of Liberty Utilities Apple Valley. “Liberty Utilities Apple Valley works closely with local fire and public safety agencies, and we have extensive plans in place to ensure we can continue providing water to our customers and first responders during any emergency event.”
Interactive and educational exhibits like fire trucks and service vehicles from Liberty Utilities Apple Valley, High Desert Underground Inc., Purofirst Fire and Water Restoration and Conco Restoration Inc. will be on display at the event, and refreshments will be provided for attendees.
