Liberty Utilities Apple Valley’s request for a one-year delay in filing its General Rate Case for 2018–2020 has been approved by the California Public Utilities Commission. This two-and-a-half year base rate freeze helps to fulfill Liberty Utilities’ pledge to stabilize water rates in Apple Valley.
There are two significant benefits for Apple Valley customers:
- The delay will freeze base rates at January 1, 2017 levels through June 30, 2019.
- This filing also gives Liberty the opportunity to work in the community to engage residents more deeply about the operations, maintenance and investment in the local water system.
We want customers to have meaningful input regarding how Liberty maintains the water system to support current and future residents. Receiving customer and stakeholder input will also help us provide Apple Valley customers with reliable, high-quality water and great customer service for years to come. We believe this is the right thing to do to demonstrate our commitment, transparency and accountability.
